DHT inhibitor

DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is produced by the conversion of testosterone by the 5-alpha-reductase (5AR) enzyme. DHT attaches to hair follicles, causing the hair to grow back shorter and thinner, resulting in gradual hair loss and over time baldness.

DHT inhibitors or blockers are designed to stop this process and restore a healthy balance of shedding and re-growth. The active ingredients work through different mechanisms to inhibit the enzyme or by blocking the androgen receptors, promoting the growth of hair follicles.

Bioscal® and Bioscalin® are used to remove such obstacles to natural, healthy hair growth, to prepare and stimulate the scalp for new hair growth and to optimize the growth conditions for the new hair.
