Male hair loss

Male hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) affects 40 million adult males in the United States. Approximately 25 percent of men begin balding by age 30 while two-thirds begin balding by age 60.

Testosterone and its derivative (DHT) can cause hair follicles in the scalp to shrink until the follicles become so small that they cannot replace lost hairs. The hair that remains is often finer and shorter.

The Original Bioscal® and Bioscalin® lines of hair care products were developed at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and are clinically proven to effectively treat and prevent both male and female hair loss.
