Oily scalp

Oily scalp is caused by excessive production of sebum, the oil produced by the skin. Seborrhoea (or seborrhea) is the medical term for excessively oily skin, including oily scalp. The condition is caused by overactive sebaceous glands and can affect both males and females.

Oily scalp and seborrhoea can inhibit healthy hair growth and regrowth and may also result in seborrhoeic dermatitis.

It is our recommendation that Bioscal® or Bioscalin® is used to remove obstacles to natural, healthy hair growth, to prepare and stimulate the scalp for new hair growth and to optimize the growth conditions for the new hair.
