| Trichotillomania is a condition in which a person, most often a child or a psychiatric patent, pulls hair out from the scalp. Patchy bare spots may occur. It is generally considered to be reversible. However, long term pulling may cause scarring of the hair follicles, in which case the hairs will not regrow. it is our recommendation that Bioscal® or Bioscalin® is used to remove obstacles to natural, healthy hair growth, to prepare and stimulate the scalp for new hair growth and to optimize the growth conditions for the new hair. However, the reasons for trichotillomania must be resolved before significant improvements can be expected. |
